Capture on mobile. Review on desktop.
Two surfaces built for the two moments that matter — chairside capture and between-session review. One platform, one patient record, one clinical standard.
Chairside intelligence
In the hands of the hygienist. Captures photos, syncs to the patient record, and hands off to AI analysis — all before the dentist enters.
- Full-mouth photo capture in under 60 seconds
- Guided capture flow — no missed angles
- Instant sync to the patient record
- Offline-capable with background sync

Between-session control
On the dentist's desktop. A complete odontogram, ready to review. Confirm findings, make adjustments, and close the chart in minutes.
- Complete AI-generated odontogram on arrival
- Finding-by-finding review and confirmation
- Patient history and trend comparison
- Critical findings flagged at the top
- Export-ready for any PMS workflow

Three steps. Under three minutes.
Capture
The hygienist captures a full set of intraoral photos at chairside. Okare works with any intraoral camera — or use the free Okare Mobile iOS app as your capture device.

Okare AI processes every image in parallel — detecting restorations, recession, and gum health across all 32 tooth positions.
Review
The dentist opens a complete odontogram on Okare Clinic. Review each finding, confirm or adjust, and the chart is done before you leave the room.
The chart arrives before you do.
Every photo set produces a tooth-by-tooth odontogram — restorations mapped, recession flagged, missing teeth noted. It's on your Okare Clinic dashboard before you enter the operatory. You review, confirm what you agree with, and close the chart. No typing.

A complete picture from every photo.
Recession
Detects gingival recession by tooth and surface, with depth estimates where image quality permits. Flags cases warranting clinical assessment.
Restorations
Identifies crowns and fillings across all tooth positions and records them in the odontogram.
Missing teeth
Detects absent teeth across all 32 positions and distinguishes between extracted teeth and developmental absence.
Disease patterns
Coming soonIdentifies visual indicators associated with periodontal and carious disease, flagging findings for clinical review rather than autonomous diagnosis.
Gum health
Assesses visible gingival tissue condition across quadrants, contributing to the overall oral health score.
Healthy regions
Confirms areas with no detected findings — giving the dentist a clear, complete picture, not just a list of problems.
AI that surfaces findings. You confirm them.
Okare doesn't make diagnoses. It analyses photos and presents findings — tooth by tooth, surface by surface — for you to review and validate. Your clinical judgment is the final step in every assessment.
Finding-by-finding confirmation
Nothing in the chart is final until you review it. Okare presents each detected finding individually — you confirm, adjust, or dismiss before it's recorded.
Decision support, not diagnosis
Okare flags patterns visible in the photos for clinical assessment. It doesn't generate diagnoses. The distinction is deliberate — your expertise is what turns observations into care.
Trained on clinical images
The model is trained on intraoral photographic data with clinical annotation. It understands the visual context of dental photography — not just general image classification.
Critical findings come first
Findings flagged as clinically significant appear at the top of the review queue. You see the most important observations before anything else.
Less of the tedious part. Nothing else changes.
Manual odontogram charting
- Typing findings tooth by tooth after the exam
- Waiting until the dentist enters to start the chart
- Inconsistent capture quality across hygienists
Everything else in your workflow
- Your existing PMS — export fits any system
- Your intraoral camera (or use the free iOS app)
- Your clinical exam and treatment planning
- Your dentist's final review and sign-off
The questions dentists ask at demos.
What if the AI misses something I would have caught?
Okare is an addition to your assessment, not a replacement for it. Its output is a starting point for review — your clinical exam remains the authoritative record. Missing something in AI analysis is the same as any pre-charting tool: your review is the safeguard.
Can I adjust or override what the AI flags?
Yes — every finding is a suggestion until you confirm it. You can dismiss findings you disagree with, add findings the AI didn't catch, and adjust severity before anything is recorded. The final chart reflects your judgment, not the model's.
Is this a regulated medical device?
Okare is clinical decision support software — it presents findings for dentist review rather than making autonomous diagnoses. We are actively engaged with Health Canada and FDA regulatory pathways as the product matures.
How does it handle poor image quality?
When image quality is insufficient for confident analysis, Okare flags the affected tooth positions as 'review required' rather than generating a low-confidence finding. The guided capture flow in Okare Mobile is specifically designed to minimise this.
Does it store patient photos on our devices after capture?
No. Photos are encrypted and uploaded immediately on sync. They do not persist on the capture device after upload. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
